Appolo Heating and Cooling was formed in 1968 by Richard Bikowicz, President; Marilyn Bikowicz, Vice President; and Donald Bikowicz, Vice President.
In the fall of 1983, a building was constructed at 868 Burdeck Street, Schenectady, New York. This new 40,000 sq. ft. structure provided the Company with office space, a sheet metal fabrication shop, loading docks and warehouse space.
In 1983, Appolo opened a branch in Hudson, New York, which later moved to Fishkill, New York in order to better serve its customers in the areas south of Schenectady toward New York City. In the spring of 2000, because of rapid growth and lack of space, a move was made to Hopewell Junction, New York. In 2007 another branch was opened in Middletown, NY. In late 2007 Appolo purchased J & J Sheet Metal Works, Vestal, NY which added additional metal fabrication capabilities that are necessary to compete for commercial projects. In early 2008 Appolo also purchased the residential heating and cooling operations of J & J.
